How To Turn Your Killer SEO Skills Into Cold-Hard Cash…

OKAY, so this week I gave you simple Search Engine Marketing strategies that will help you:

Flood your website with TARGETED web traffic and leads!

BUT, I don’t want you to lose sight of the big picture.

Because even the world’s best SEO tips, tricks, and techniques will only get you so far…

You still need to CONVERT that traffic into cold-hard cash…

In my humble opinion, there’s only one way to do this… with a hard-hitting… or… at the very least… persuasive sales message that convinces people to buy into whatever it is you have to offer. Whether that’s a business, information product, or anything else.

You have to be able to write copy that sells…

Now, I’ve digested tons of copywriting books, courses, webinars, and seminars.

In fact, my personal library is JAMMED TO THE CEILING with almost every book you can imagine about Direct-Response Copywriting. From John Caples’ “Tested Advertising Methods” to Dick Benson’s “Secrets of Successful Mail Order”. Plus, a few dusty old books that literally took me years to track down.

Gosh, this month alone, I invested in two more copywriting courses to complete my collection and that set me back $1,600. After that, I invested another $297 bucks in some dusty copywriting cassette tapes – I kid you not.

An Embarrassing Confession…

Honestly, I don’t have enough free time to go through these courses in full. Because there’s simply too many DVDs, MP3s, cassettes, and pages to go through this month. BUT, I wouldn’t recommend anything I haven’t done myself.

SOOO, with that said…

Which Copywriting Courses Do I Personally Recommend?

Well, if you’re looking for a Copywriting Course, Not just a e-book or swipe file like Yanik Silver’s “Instant Sales Letters” (And I love Yanik’s product too!) then I HIGHLY recommend David Garfinkel and Tim Erway’s A-Z Copywriting course…

You can click here to get the details…

Hey Jason,

I was wondering when you were going to promote this one. You were always promoting Yanik’s Course. The Copywritter’s Guild is way more powerful.

Folks need to invest in it if they don’t have it!

Have a great weekend…

Yeah, it kind of slipped my mind.

Gosh, I can barely remember half of the Copywriting books I’ve been through. That’s why I spend so much time rereading them. ;-)

But, Copywriter’s Guild is definitely on my ipod.

Hey Jason,

Converting is huge. I’ve been working on different approaches and some have worked thanks to Yanik’s product. It’s pretty good.

So now I’m thinking…since I haven’t picked up the Copywriter’s Guild yet, you just encouraged me to do so… :)

Have a great weekend.

Great Point. I talk to many networkers who say the got x-amount of leads. I smile and thats great how many were you able to convert? Most do not reply with a happy answer.

But heck if your getting the leads then your doing something right. Baby Steps also a good movie. I didn’t know about that movie untill I read See You Over the Top by Zig Ziglar.

One thing I have been doing for a while is Ad Clipping. Learned that from Dan Kennedy I go through news papers and magazines and clip the ads that really stood out to me and figure out why.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Richard you rock man!

Keep building that swipe file.

It comes in handy. Mine is in these massive binders that take up half my desk. I’m not even kidding.

They’re handy to have around.

Hi Jason,

Yep, you’re right! All that traffic doesn’t do you any good if you don’t know how to convert it.

I’m with you, the Copywriters Guild is an awesome course. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t picked it up yet.

Have a great weekend!

Jason,
I just got a chance to go through audios 1 through 5 (out of 7) of David and Tim’s course earlier this week. It was awesome.

I can truly appreciate your recommendation and I’m about to put the skills to use.

The guidance and example from your posts is the icing on the cake.

Have a great weekend!

Yeah, it takes a while to go through them all.

There’s a lot of content there. And then the video/webinars too.

Thanks for the recommendations, and take care.

Hey Jason,

I haven’t gone through this course yet.. but I was thinking about it recently. Copywriting is the million dollar skill.

But.. not only can you use it for writing webcopy, you can also create very compelling videos because it’s all about human psychology and how the mind works.

Persuasion is Powerful

thanks for sharing this info, and all the other SEO tips this past week.

talk soon & have a great weekend

Hey Jason,

I’ve got this one still sitting on my bookshelf (well actually, sitting in my back office.)

Copywriting is definitely a million dollar skill set. After all… what good is traffic for days if you can’t convert a sale or “close a door” right?

I’ve put a major emphasis on copywriting in the past few months myself.

I’m currently going through AWAI’s “Accelerated Program for Six-Figure Copywriting.”

Have a Rockin’ weekend! :)

Great post, Jason.

My issue is time. I’m always investing in courses and often have a hard time to get through them.

I’m a single mom and my time is so limited… I spend most of it doing the actual action steps to move my business forward (conversing w/ people, etc) and the education piece often ends up on the back burner.

This is such a good reminder that education is just as important as everything else, and that the eductaion WILL move your business forward. :)

Thanks for the reminder… gonna go schedule some ‘course’ time!

-A

Richard Kaulfers Reply:

Being a single mom is hard and you are right time is not on our side. Do you go to Car University? Anything you can get on audio is great for the car. But just like anything else if its important enough you will find the time to just get it done. If it means a little less sleep for a month so what. Just like getting good exercise can you sacrifice 90 minutes a day to add a few extra years on your life so you can see your grandchildren in the future?

Gotta find the pain of motivation. Most of us do not act until its absolutely necessary. Make it Necessary!

Thats for you, me, and everyone else! LETS ROLL!

As much as we give give give. We have to make time for our self.

Have a wonderful action packed weekend!

Hi Jason,

This has been a great week on the BetterNetworker. So much incredible info. I have the Copy Writers Guild and I must confess I need to dust it off and start using it again. I will say when I used some of the tips and tricks taught in CWG I noticed fantastic results. I am guilty of buying too many products and not finishing one at a time.

P.S. I can’t wait for Vegas! Is Mike going to let you share the stage with him?

Have an Awesome Weekend!

Hey Jason,

You picked a great product to plug here. David is a genius and an all around great guy.

To give an example of the value of the course, you can get personal training for you and your copywriting team from David for about 30 grand.

Or you can take this course and get loads of his idea’s for less than your monthly phone bill.

I have quite a few books and courses myself, and this is one that I enjoyed a lot.

[Reply]

Jason Reply:

I like the comparison.

David isn’t a fly-by-night Copywriter either. He really knows his stuff.

And it’s definitely cheaper than my phone bill!

That comment cracked me up.

I’ve listened to the CG probably 75 times and I still extract a fresh new nugget very time. David also gives away a ton of great resources to reference. It always puzzled me as to why MS didn’t regularly promote this, or even have an affiliate link until recently. Anyway, I’m glad to see it in circulation again, keep up the good work.

It’s definitely true that you can get all the traffic you want, but if you are not converting that traffic, you definitely need to be honing your copywriting skills. Ferny has me busy with this right now. Look out world, here I come. lol
