Speeding In Mike Dillard’s Audi R8 (Cartoons Can’t Drive Cars?)

Wow, so I had a killer trip to Austin Texas to meet with the Magnetic Sponsoring group and Mike Dillard.

As you probably know, those guys have a lot to do with the success of Better Networker – I just like to steal the show. ;-)

Now, I don’t know if you remember that Audi R8 that Mike Dillard is giving away to Jonathan Budd for winning the top-affiliate prize for What’s Working Now, but that thing is sweet!

And Mike took me for a spin…

Gosh, the old Batman TV show theme is still playing in my brain: Dunna dunna dunna dunna… dunna dunna dunna dunna Batman! Anyhow…

Here I was with Mike Dillard whipping around corners in Austin Texas with a volcano hot Starbucks Coffee firmly gripped in my blistered hand (I didn’t dare spill a drop in that baby). I felt like I was in the Batmobile. Red buttons, sleek curves, and pedestrians “rubbernecking” to see the car…

You know, Jonathan Budd us going to be grinning ear-to-ear when he gets in that puppy. And he won it fair and square.

But, I have to confess, I’m feeling a little “car envy” now!

Yeah, I know “cartoons can’t drive cars”. That’s what you were going to say, right? I’ve heard that comment enough. And I resent being called a cartoon…

You know, cartoons have feelings too!

Golly, now look at what you did! You “made” me go off on a rant.

ANYHOW…

What I really wanted to say to you today is this…

I’ve been planning out the future of this blog and I’ll be sharing more practical, actionable tips, tricks, and secrets with you in the VERY near future…

Because you know I’ve gone off on waaaayyyy too many tangents lately… ranting… raving… telling stories… and generally whining like a baby.

SOOO, I want to make it up to you by sharing some of the really cool SEO, Copywriting, and Blogging tricks I’ve picked up recently.

But don’t worry, I won’t overwhelm you. I’ll keep things simple and short. One lesson a day flavored with humor or other quirky little insights.

So keep your eyes open and get yourself a dedicated Jason Better notebook…

You won’t regret it…

Till then, I would like to ask you a simple question:

What would you like to learn about most? Copywriting, SEO, Blogging or anything else? What are you stuck on? How can I help you make more money, get more leads, and be more successful faster? Your feedback is definitely appreciated.

Don’t be shy, even if you’ve never commented here before, leave your suggestions today and I will get back to you in a jiffy. Because I’m finally back in my home office. ;-)

To your success,

-Jason The “Better Networker”

Hey Jason,

That is a sweet looking car! I’ve seen most exotic cars here in Florida. But I’ve never seen an R8 around here…weird!

Now, it is cool that you are going to be unleashing some serious knowledge on us. I would like to hear about all of them that you mentioned. Since it pertains to what we are doing. OK…If I had to select just one – Email Marketing

Chat with you later…

Yeah, e-mail marketing is far from dead…

It’s still the big money maker.

Even with all the spam filters, spammers, and other nonsense. I don’t see it dying any time soon.

I would definitely like to learn more about SEO. I think it’s one of the greatest forms of traffic because it’s free and if you get on the top page of Google the traffic will consistently come. Any secret Google tips, what to do – what not to do – would be killer.

I also love everything you share here, but my greatest interests right now are social networking, SEO, and email marketing. Can’t wait to see what tricks you have in store for us.

As for training articles, I look forward to all of the above. Email marketing would be nice to learn more about.

Chris Owen  on May 5th, 2010

Funny you come up with a car story today. I just got busted up in mine yesterday. Trying to drive and text at the same time. I know I know. I just couldn’t wait to send a joke to Jim Yaghi about going to San Fran for a hair cut. LOL

I’ve got PPC covered, and SEO as well. Hmmmm, my favorite subject to study would have to be copywriting, but I’ve already hit you up for every book you have. Loved Joe Sugarman by the way. Have you read “Triggers” yet?

I’m going to have to go specific on this one. I want to hear your thoughts on the perfect sales letter. Ferny and Ray have me typing up this video sales letter right now, and I would love to have more experience with it. I’ve never done a video sales letter before. I imagine the strategy must change a little, but I am never happy with what I have.

Talk about going off on a tangent. Did anyone keep up with all those subject changes? hmmm must be the meds.

[Reply]

Jason Reply:

I hope you’re okay Chris. :-(

As for Copywriting, well Copywriting is definitely my specialty my friend.

I laughed when you said: “I’ve already hit you up for every book you have”
Too funny… not even close… not even close… If you only knew how big
my copywriting library is you would shake your head.

And video sales letters is definitely where the money is at right now.

Ray and Ferny are smart guys.

A video sales letter is essentially no different than any sales letter or pitch at all.

You’ll find that your copywriting skills will serve you in every medium.

Jason, it sounds like the R8 ride was a whole lot better than the plane ride you told us about.

As for “car envy”, if you’re a true cartoon, isn’t it just a matter of a few creative strokes and any car can be yours? Talk about being perfectly positioned for the law of attraction…

As per usual I will soak up all knowledge you share but specifically SEO is of interest to me.

Marcus

As for attracting cars… that’s not a cartoon thing… it’s a mind thing.

That is a nice car. Looks like Dillards background before his company took off wasn’t as bad as the stories make it out to be.

I hope he does not fall under the UAW category found in MillionAire next door. All flash and no cash.

I see that a lot among successful network marketers. They spend spend spend on “junk”. Can’t put a dime in the bank.

I hope everyone has a good budgeting plan and keeps saving and investing and giving. Regardless if they make 10k or 500k a year.

As far as something to teach, Reverse engineering great ranking sites. Getting into the nitty gritty of the of code. Like this blog. I see your using some paid SEO plugins and other tricks used. Very good scores in the SEO ranking.

Keep it up.

Why shouldn’t Mike be able to buy an Audi R8? I mean, compared to some of the other things people spend their money on. That’s pretty tame my friend. And let’s not forget that this is a math business. He’s making money giving that Audi away. ;-)
