Haiti Shines Light On The Purpose Of Network Marketing…
7:45 A.M. - I flicked on the tube this morning and against doctor’s orders watched a snippet of news.
I hope you haven’t been following it too closely but the Haiti earthquake disaster is enough to make anybody cry.
Women are getting raped at night and violence is happening more and more in the tent cities.
But in spite of all the horror, there was one shining light which brought a smile to face. I hope this brings a smile to yours too.
People have donated over 800 million to help
Yep, I know it’s hard to believe but it looks like the people of America and the citizens of the world have dropped their drawers and mooned the recession. They’ve flipped their mattresses, sold their bling, and sent a ray of hope to the devastated people of a faraway land. And that my friend, makes me smile.
But don’t let the sunshine stop there…
The recession isn’t over by a long shot, millions of people are still unemployed, and businesses are failing left and right. So this is your time to shine. Your time to be the leader that people are desperately seeking.
Because make no mistake, people are looking for leaders they can trust.
People are looking for legitimate opportunities.
And you can guide the way…
If you have a dream then you owe it to yourself and the world to pursue it and lead the way for others who aren’t as brave.
The economy is in the pits but that’s exactly why our industry will grow by leaps and bounds. People are learning that the idea of a secure job with benefits is a myth. People are losing everything, even their pensions, to bankrupt companies and personal debt. People are desperately looking for a solution.
That solution is in your hands.
They need you.
And you need them.
Our business is built on relationships with people all over the world. Entire downlines are built and disappear on the strength of those relationships alone.
Those relationships are built on trust.
Trust is built by lending a helping hand…
By giving people what they really want…
A chance to reach their dreams.
So when somebody asks you what you do, don’t hang your head in shame. Stand tall instead and proudly boast:”I’m in MLM.”
“I’m a Network Marketer.”
“I help people reach their dreams.”
If there ever was a business built to help and serve – it’s yours.

P.S. I would love to hear your thoughts about Haiti, Network Marketing, or helping people out. I think sometimes we get caught up in all the details of our lives and forget what our industry is really all about. Your two cents are appreciated. See you soon.

Hey LeShawn,
I think we should all be proud
of what we do.
Nothing bugs me more than seeing
somebody feel embarrassed because they’re
a network marketer.

Amen Jason! Although some unscrupulous individuals have give our industry a bad rap, it’s time we stand tall and do our part to show the world we are professionals with integrity, ethics, and morals.
That the world of MLM is not a scam, we are business professionals, and not just someone who “just sells (whatever it is you sell)”.
I tell people that this is not a hobby, this is how I help support my family, and every word is true!
Standing Tall and Proud~

Hey Twila,
I think people have this need to
block out anything that isn’t in their
comfort zones.
It’s easy for them to believe that MLM
is a scam. That way, they don’t have to
think for themselves.

Jason My Man,
I watch very little TV but Haiti clips have caught my I as I drift off to sleep with the news on.. Such a sad, sad situation in so many ways.
The day it happened, when they were saying it could be up to 1/2 Million dead, I couldn’t help but think of all those souls leaving at one time and it made for a very heavy heart. So sad, but you are right. The generous giving can make us be a little proud of ourselves as a people.
Publix supermarkets, here in Florida, allows any dollar denomination donation you want added to your grocery bill. They make it easy if you have the will. Kudos Publix
The people of Haiti seem to have a reputation for survival and perseverance within hard circumstances. Maybe there’s a lesson for all of us NM in their culture. Now that’s a better reputation than the one we’ve gotten. Just another takeaway from an otherwise bad situation.
I think you may know how I feel about the trust issue. It is not to be mess with or the wrath of reproach will come raining down you.
You went a little Eric Worre on me there at the end, but that’s OK. I watch a video of his everyday and he is one of my heros because he actually gives a damn. Sorry, did I write that out loud? You and him as a tag team could really do some good for this industry. Kind of the conscience of the business. I couldn’t think of 2 people that are more right minded than the two of you.

Hey Tim thank you,
Eric’s a good guy. I love the content
he’s been uploading to BN recently.
That man is crazy for giving all that
away.
I think if anything Haiti is giving us all
a wake-up call.
Life is so very fragile.

Speaking of doing what you can do, being proud…
This past December our Lions Club hosted a Christmas dinner, by the community for the community. We gathered donations from local business, orchardists and farmers and cooked everything up. It was executed perfectly and everybody was reminded, if only for one night, that we’re all in this together and it’s easier to share than be selfish. Just wanted to share that.

my faith in humanity. It’s wonderful how people can

If only it was every day.

It’s a sad, sad situation…
Makes me reflect on how lucky I am.
You’re right, Jason — it is all about helping people and that’s what I love most about Network Marketing.
I keep that in mind when I write a blog post, email, the funded proposal I’m writing, etc.

Jason, here’s the crack up, I have been following you for about 6 months now and you have taught me alot about helping people, giving them important info they can use instead of trying to shove a product down there throat, I’ve also joined Renegade University but haven’t been able to go to next level because of no coin, I’m actually waiting for a commission ck to be able to go to that next level and get monetising and to help build my businesses.
This year is going to be a great year for my family and I to get out of the hole but I’m also going to as part of helping people, give a donation to the people of Haiti out of that commission ck first and foremost, we really don’t realize how good we have it until something horrific happens like it did in Haiti. Great message Jason, keep up the good work. Mike B

Hey Mike,
Thank you. You brought a smile
to my face.
I understand where you’re coming from.
There’s so many products out there and only
so much money to spend.
But I think you’ll find something that fits your
learning style. There’s a lot of good stuff out there if
you’re willing to take a chance.

Hey Jason, great post. You have to love a country like America. In 2004 I went down there preparing for war. Now our military is there to rebuild, and keep the peace.
We truly set the example for keeping emotion out of the way of what needs to be done.
I think about those people every day. I still remember the faces of those kids, and some of their names.
It is always hard to hear about the death of so many.

What amazes me is the numbers they
throw around. It’s hard to believe that
many people died.
I still can’t wrap my brain around that.

Jason,
Haiti is indeed a very sad situation build on a disaster. It makes you question us as human beings sometimes the rape & violence you reported. But then the generosity of people amazes me too. I guess we get to see both sides of human nature played out together.
I agree too about standing tall for what you believe in especially when it relates to your business and future. May we all continue to be proud of ourselves and the industry we represent.

Jason,
What I have realized in all this tragedy with Haiti is how small our world has now become thanks to the internet & social media. Maybe three years ago social media didn’t have the heartbeat it does now. . . we would hear of the updates on the news and in our online news flashes. But my friends & followers online have kept this story in the forefront & the financial support has been very touching. Its just amazing—its like the tragedy happened to people on the next block not thousands of miles away.
Thoughts on our mlm bizes: It’s so good to see people actually get that this is a real business now—not a get rich quick deal. I meet serious entreprenuers everyday in mlm.
The internet is so amazing that its kinda scarry sometimes but it sure has been a huge benefit for all of us in every area of our lives (well almost every area).
Its good for us in this community to help each other move closer to fulfilling our dreams. Thanks for providing us this space Jason!

I have to agree,
“It’s so good to see people actually get that this is a real business now—not a get rich quick deal. I meet serious entreprenuers everyday in mlm.”
I think this is one of the ways that social media
is changing our world. More accountability. And more
opportunities for people to spread goodwill too.

Right on target Jason. It shows the true depth of Americas generosity. And you are right the internet is the new economy and the more people that learn that the better off we will all be.
