Last Night I Almost Died…
Have you ever almost died? Well, last night you almost said “bye-bye” to Jason Better. So today there’s no long tip-sheets, no fancy gimmicks and no baloney.
But if you stay with me a bit I promise it will be worth your time. You see, buried in this story is a gem of a tip. A secret thought that will make honest networkers like you a boatload of cash and friends.
You know, when I saw the headlights racing towards my lane last night I WAS SCARED PITLESS! As I’m sure you would be too if you were staring at death.
It was dark out and I was just heading home as you probably have many times before… Home to a nice warm shower and a cozy bed… or so I thought.
But the death truck had other plans.
The truck clipped my mirror at about 90 miles and hour and sent my car into a sharp u-turn through incoming traffic… straight into the opposite ditch. Time slowed down like a bad action scene on TV.
The tires SCHREEECHED on the pavement, RATTLED on the gravel, and THUNKED into the ditch.
And as the car planted itself in the ditch, I knew I was lucky. Because this could have gone wrong so many ways.
I could have died.
It took three long hours to sort everything out. Police, tow-truck, and a spare tire. And it was already an eight hour drive. But that didn’t matter to anyone at all. Because when I opened my email inbox there were 14 messages that “urgently” needed my attention.
There was a bill from Paypal. Seven marketing newsletters yelling at me. Two scammers from Nigeria trying to tell me I won the lottery or something and an e-mail from a relative wondering when I’d do that favor he asked me for last week. A favor I refused the first time.
I wasn’t very impressed, and I’m sure you’d feel the same if you almost died on your way to see your loved ones again.
And it got me thinking…
How very short life is. And how VERY RUDE so many network marketers are. I’m no different. I mean, we all think we have the greatest opportunity in the world. We want to share it with the world through the internet, phone and even in person. But how often do we stop to actually put ourselves into the shoes of our prospects?
NOT enough. But the good news is – we can always do better.
You know, last night I could have died and the only family member who bothered to contact me wanted money. As for the strangers in my inbox, they cared even less. So it’s no wonder I don’t care about their magic pills and money trees — would you?
This is why some networkers are making out like bandits and the rest suffer in poverty and pain. Because the real rewards in life go to the men and women who care. And I think it’s worth thinking about a little more before you start your day.
How can you prove you care, today?

I can relate! Just a little over a year ago I was being wheeled into the emergency room without a pulse and little signs of life. I obviously made it and all I know is that as of that day my life changed. It is the little things we take for granted that we MUST focus on. I have been given a second chance to do better, to help and lead others while focusing on what is REAL. I’m glad you’re still with us to share your wisdom and guide me as I embark on my new mission.
Sincerely!
Mitchell Dillman

Mitchell,
Wow, that sounds like quite an experience. Mind if I ask how you came to be carted into the ER without a pulse?

Jason, my goodness that was scary! Did you see your life flashing by? Can you remember the first thing that came to mind as you veered off the road? Glad you’re ok and ready to live life to the full! Keep these fantastic blog posts coming.

Hey Vijay,
It sure was scary. My life didn’t flash by…
it was like being hyper-alert or something.
First thing that came to mind was:
“I’m gonna live! Thank You. Thank You Thank You!”
Oh… and thanks for stopping by Vijay. Hope to see you
around here even more in the weeks ahead.
