Return Of The Alpha Networker™
Perhaps the most important thing I ever learned about marketing I learned from Mike Dillard by reading Magnetic Sponsoring.
Now, I’m bot going to pretend that I’m not affiliated with Mike, because he’s an awesome guy, but that book totally rocks.
This Is “The Book”…
It’s hands down, the “bible” of attraction marketing, and one of the core principles of that book is the concept of the “Alpha Netwoker™”. It’s a philosophy that I believe in with all my heart. And it’s something I want to share with you.
Mind you, this is no substitute for picking up your own copy of Magnetic Sponsoring and reading it three-to-four times. This is just one of Mike’s life changing concepts…
And essentially, what it all boils down to is this…
Either you’re a Beta or an Alpha
A leader or a follower…
Since the first cave guy thunked another cave guy over the head with a rock, this has been the nature of all human interaction. And ladies, it’s no different for women either. I’ve seen some cat fights in my day that have been brutal.
What can I say, I’m a good looking guy…
Anyway, we all have a little Alpha and Beta in our brain, and it will either help us get what we want, or get in our way.
If you really wanted to break it down…
Betas…
- Stuff business cards in library books…
- Try to recruit people at coffee shops…
- Get tossed out of Walmart for handing out flyers…
- Harass friends and family members 24/7…
- Try to recruit other betas to do the same thing…
While Alphas…
- Sift and sort through piles of leads…
- Sponsor reps without thinking about it…
- Dominate social media sites…
- Don’t take guff from nobody…
- Have to turn people away…
It hardly seems fair at all…
But the funny thing is, it’s largely in your head.
The Alpha Networker™ wasn’t born an Alpha. They were born timid, like everybody else. They were scared of monsters, and the unknown. They were terrified of public speaking, and they trembled before they picked up that phone…
But they decided they were more than the sum of their fears…
They had a dream…
Like you…
But they focused on that dream until it became a burning desire to succeed no matter what the price.
They focused so hard that even mountains moved out of the way…
Because Alphas are like a 23,000 ton locomotive going to the top.
It’s only natural that everybody wants a free ride. It’s only natural that professionals are drawn to them.
And it has nothing to do with magic wishing…
In a world of recessions, earthquakes, and depleted resources, we’re all looking for that man or woman who will never, never, never give up. No matter how tough things get…
…that tough as nails almost primitive leader who will draw his sword and slay the fire breathing dragon that guards the gates of the promised land…
It your choice…
Theres’ no shame in being a Beta.
But Alphas shape the world…

It is so important to grasp this concept and apply it. for some it comes naturally for others they have to focus daily on the achievement. then still others, well, just sit down and put the nose ring in so us Alphas can lead you around while you snivel about why we are so successful and you are not!

Richard,
I totally agree,
This is one of those things that takes
a second to learn and a lifetime to master.

Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring is my bible too. I read it for the first time about 4 years or so ago. It totally opened my eyes.
I’ve got the never ever give up part down and am sharpening my sword for the dragon right now.

I read it again, right after.
Life changing.

Hi Jason,
Ever since I read Magnetic Sponsoring,
I’ve been wondering what the “TM” symbol right next to “Alpha Networker” was all about.
Well, now I know!
I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what the new training is,
I’ve got so much out of everything else Mike has done.
For me, the mind is the biggest factor in the whole success game.
I see it on Better Networker everyday –
There are a lot of great leaders there,
But there are also a lot of people who would never dare to even TRY to do something like Mike Dillard has done.
Which makes no sense to me, because he lays it all out there for everyone to see –
Exactly HOW he became successful…
He didn’t WAIT to be successful,
He decided to BE successful in his mind and actions,
And then, whaddayaknow, SUCCESS!

Derek,
That’s one of the things I love
about Mike.
He knew what he wanted and he
didn’t wait for the magic pill to give it
to him.
If anything, he made the magic pill.
Unfortunately, many people who buy the
book won’t be able to understand it.
They’re looking for any excuse to accept
a miserable life.

Moving up to Alpha isn’t as hard as someone might think, just post good content, share your knowledge with people that are searching for information and they will start to see you in a whole new light. They will start to listen to you and become one of your followers.

Solid advice Dan.
I worry that good content is not
enough though…
At least in our info age…
It has to cut through the clutter with
a big idea too.
I think this is why the concept of
the Alpha Networker is so powerful.

Another great post, Jason. I LOVE the Alpha/Beta comparison… and, yes, Magnetic Sponsoring is certainly the ticket to help folks move from B to A.
Thanks again for your valuable wisdom!

Hey there Jason,
Magnetic Sponsoring is almost solely and directly responsible for getting me started in the Internet and Network Marketing business.
I’ve always known these principles, it’s just never been spelled out so clearly. While I’m still learning and growing, I’m not quiet full-time just yet.
Great News though…Looks like the Alpha leader in me has just landed a contract to build new home…MD Construction isn’t dead yet! Neither is DillmanSolutions…We’ll just have to start working double time.
Thanks Jason,
Mitchell Dillman

That’s awesome Mitchell,
If you treat building like you treat network
marketing then those people are getting a bargain

Hi Jason, its amazing how MS has changed so many lives. I have associates that still don’t get why I use it. Yet, they are still buying their leads and I am generating my own.
It was only back in October, I purchased both, MS and BBR. I was leaving for my primary opportunity’s major event, read MS on a short flight from NJ to Atl. Boom, the transformation was taking place right there. To make a long story short, on my last night of the event I was eating alone at a Mexican restaurant, my team had left, so I started conversation with some distributors I just met. They picked my brain and as they were leaving they wanted to know if I was A or B in our marketing plan. When I told them where I was they were blown away. Why? My attitude, an Alpha is the person that everyone wants to sit next to, I love to think of myself like Vinny Chase from Entourage. I know I have a lot more to learn and the resources are here. So look out I look forward to joining everyone at the top!

Hey Jason,
I was so hooked on the Magnetic sponsoring course that I decided to do a video testimonial for Mike Dillard last summer and it hit top 10 in his competition and I won his entire digital collection.
Basically it is like the ‘Textbook’ for any network that wants to succeed.
I can say no more
Cheers.

Hi Jason,
I’m with Mitchell. MS is what got me started in network marketing.
Actually BOAB led to MS and then things took off but anywho, I had always been fascinated with the internet, going global, etc.
I had tried different MLM’s for over 12 years pushing everything imaginable. The thing I was not taught is that people don’t like to be pushed. They are looking for the solution to their problem.
i.e. People that want to make a hole don’t care about what drill to use, they care about making the hole. Let them trust in your ability to show them how to drill a hole and then they will most definitely buy your drill. I love Mike’s analogy on that one.
I’m excited about Alpha Networker.
Thanks for your great posts

Hey Rhonda,
I love it.
Everybody has their own Magnetic story. I
think the only problem is that people brush the
advice off. When, they could change their whole
life if they followed to the word.

You know, I saw Mike’s message about Killing your inner Beta come in the other day, and just “starred” it on my gmail acct. waiting for a time to sit and read it.
Then the next day another message, but about Alpha mindset, and then again today. And then your blog post summing it all up.
I was like “O.k., time to sit and look at this info, like, NOW!”
Glad I did!
It’s funny, I was going to make a blog post today about mindset, and then I saw Dwayne was going to do the same. Then Mike’s Alpha course came out.
BAM!
I think I need to get a post done!

Kinda like the “alpha”bet?
“A” always starts the alphabet and “B” always follows.
You don’t choose to be a follower but you DO choose to be a leader by actions and not words.
I am a follower of yours so that I can become a leader in what I choose.
Thanks again for always great and inspirational posts!

I guess, I’m working on it.
