What’s Holding Network Marketers Back In 2010?
What do you really want in the New Year? Some people would be happy with an extra grand or two a month. Others want six or even seven figure success.
I have a friend who wants to travel the world with his spouse. But I know a couple who just want a little extra time at home before their kids grow up.
Your goals might be drastically different from mine, but I’m almost certain that you will reach them in time. As long as you never give in to the excuses so many people are chained to. Because the hardest objections to face are not your prospect’s – THEY’RE YOURS.
With that said, I thought I would usher in the New Year with the a list of reasons why people fail in network marketing. This isn’t a pretty list – it’s brutal. So you’ll probably feel a little uncomfortable by the time you reach the end of it. But as good old Socrates declared: “The unexamined life isn’t worth living.”
So what’s holding you back in 2010?
Maybe…
• You’re a master procrastinator.
• You’re afraid to ask for help.
• You don’t believe in goals at all.
• Your goals are bigger than whales.
• Your goals are foggier than fog
• You’re comfortable with your life right now.
• You’re not comfortable with pain or change.
• Your vision isn’t big enough.
Maybe…
• You don’t have a mentor or coach.
• You don’t measure your results.
• You’re aiming with a shotgun.
• You don’t have faith in yourself.
• You don’t believe it’s possible.
• You’re scared of success.
Perhaps…
• You didn’t burn your bridges.
• You’re scared of falling short.
• You’re a perfectionist.
• You’re waiting for the “right time”.
• Your family doesn’t support you.
• You’re crippled by x, y, or z.
• You don’t have enough money.
• You don’t have enough time.
Whatever your excuse, you know as well I do that your worst enemy is usually staring at you in the mirror every groggy morning.
I’m sure you have your favorite pet excuses like I do. The problem is, when we feed them every day with our belief, they soon grow into terrible creatures that hold us back from greatness.
It’s time to confess…
What’s Really Holding YOU Back In 2010?
Personally, “Not enough time” is my favorite excuse. It seems like I always run out of time. I don’t know about you but 24 hour days are not for me. I need at least 36. But you know, it’s all a mind game. I would have more time if I stopped wasting so much on silly little things like cleaning my desk or sorting through the millions of files on my laptop. So in the end, I’m the culprit. What about you?
To a happy new year,
Jason the “Better Networker”

Well Jason,
Based on this article, I’m holding my head high and smiling from ear to ear…Looks like 2010 gonna be my year!
Maybe it’s the last 4 months of intensive mindset training and the comprehensive education that I’ve been getting from you and the gang over at Carbon Copy Pro, I can proudly exclaim, “There ain’t nothin on this list that even remotely resembles me!”
Don’t get me wrong, there’re times I worry, I wonder what more I can do, it’s then that I just put my head down and dig in even deeper…
There are those times when I look at my dwendling savings and wonder if I’m really gonna make it before I’m under that bridge…but Jason, I truly believe I will!
You know, there are many things all working together that determine who we are…
If we each just take a step back and look at who we really are, there’s not a one of us that can’t do anything we put our mind to.
New Years are for fresh starts. It’s a clean slate with zero excuses…Be bold and aim high…Swing for the fences, when you connect you’ll hit it outta the park!
Now, it’s off the the mountains…Well see you at the top!
Happy New Year Buddy,
Mitchell Dillman

I totally hear you Mitchell.
A new year for a new lease on life.
I haven’t seen that many people take the
kind of massive action that you’re taking though.
One of my favorite “gurus” once said:
“Motion beats meditation.”
How very true.

hmmmmm that was funny…”You’re a master procrastinator.” I almost thought (perhaps digital dyslexia caused me to see something else) when you first mentioned in your list…. that also could be a reason too

2010 is most definitely MY year. I know it will be for each of you as well just so long as you make a DECISION. It is those constant decisions we make each and every day that will determine the outcome we achieve this year. May all your little decisions be gems, Happy New Year everyone!

I think alot of people get information overload and then they are afraid to do anything. A lot of what you list is very very true.

Totally,
Even when you know what you want to do… it’s tough to get started. These days the pace of information growth is absolutely insane.

Did you have to mention the cleaning of the desk and sorting computer files while I was in the process of doing that?
