Way too many!

It’s an unfortunate side effect of having a blog.

But thankfully the Akismet plugin catches most of them.

I would just like to know how many spam comments do you get on a daily or weekly basis? Because there is auto blog commenting software out there which allows people to send one comment to multiple blogs for back links…

Yeah, adding a call to action will
most definitely get you more comments
as long as it’s friendly and not pushy. Sometimes
a “call to action” sounds like the guy is trying
to yell at ya. Hah.

Awesome tip. I never really thought
about it, but I guess it’s similar to e-mail…
only through Facebook instead. Nice.

I’ve started adding a call to action to my blog asking people to comment and it really works! I will definitely use the trick to post the first comment my self to get the conversation going…I would have never thought of that, but sounds like a fantastic idea.

Quick tip I to not only get more comments, but also to get more traffic…

…If you have a Facebook group or fan page, you can send a broadcast putting a little call to action in and watch the comments come flying in!
