Marketing Autopilot — 9 Ways To Keep Networking While You Sleep
Hey, it’s been a few days. I had a great weekend and I hope you did too. But it really got me thinking about freeing up more time for family and friends.
You know the dream… to sit back with your feet up. You don’t have to lift a finger and your business keeps pulling in the big bucks while you “chill” on a dream beach… or whatever. At the very least, it would be nice to have a little extra spare time or a vacation or two. Wouldn’t it?
You bet it would!
Living in the dream world…
That’s the dream but few people live it. I wouldn’t say that nobody does. Because I know people who do. I have a friend who calls himself lazy, he’s far from it, but through years of hard work he’s built a lifestyle that affords him the time to be “lazy”. So it is possible.
You probably know a few success stories yourself. But they all have something in common. They aren’t afraid to use technology to make their life easier. I know, all to often it feels like technology is sucking up time instead of giving it. But when you’re in control… it’s amazing what you can do.
So Let’s get started…
Here’s 9 Ways To Actually “Work While You Sleep”:
Obvious Outsourcing – Leaders delegate. This is a tough skill to master and let’s face it… not everyone can afford this. But if you have the cash and you’re short on time then you might be amazed how cheap it can be to outsource the little details. Time is money.
Blood and Sweat – Hah. Bet you thought you could avoid this one, right? But even if you automate everything you have to be prepared to work. A solid strategy if you’re blogging or article marketing is to spend one day writing up content and post it as the days roll by. This will literally cut hours off your work week. Don’t underestimate this.
Awesome Autoresponders – If you want to get into internet marketing in a big way… or if you already are… then you have to get cozy with autoresponders and e-mail marketing.
With your autoresponder you can set e-mails to be sent out in sequence, schedule ahead of time, or broadcast immediately. All are ways to leverage your time and make more money.
Voicemail Victory – This is one under-utilized way to free up time. Get creative with your voicemail. Don’t pick up your phone every time it rings, but do answer your messages promptly. You’ll make a reputation for it.
Amazing Audio – You’ll probably brush this off, but audio recordings are a great way to build your credibility. You can use them to supplement your web content or think up a more creative use. But I don’t think most people understand the power of this. They brush it off while their next door neighbor quietly rakes in the cash.
Video Cloning – You can only build so many relationships face to face… unless you leverage the power of video. One solid strategy is to have a “welcome video” on your website. Your prospects get to know and trust you before they ever meet you in person… which in this day and age, maybe they never will.
The E-mail Demon – You don’t have time to answer your e-mail twenty four hours a day. You have work. You have family. So how do you get control of the e-mail demon? I have a few suggestions.
First, restrict your addiction. Only answer your e-mail at a few designated times a day. And make use of the automated message software most free e-mail addresses have for you. Did you know, if you’re on vacation you can set an away message? Imagine that…
Build A FAQ List – These lists of frequently asked questions get a bad rap but when you keep getting the same questions over again it really helps to have a web page you can point people to for answers.
Of course, you already know this is no substitute for hands on involvement but it will weed out the silly questions you get asked every day.
Get Cozy With Teleseminars – Seminars, Webinars, and Teleseminars. These are a great way to leverage your time and money. They barely cost anything to host. But the best part: You can record them for your blog or products. It’s like killing two birds with one stone. And it’s an easy way to build a relationship with your list.
Some people even make a full-time living doing nothing but teleseminars.
What do you think?
You’re probably using a few of these ideas already. No doubt, you have your own suggestions that are every bit as good as these ones. But I hope I sparked a thought or two. Something that could free more time for the things that matter most in life.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks for reading and always…

Although I’m familiar with most of these methods, I never had them organized in front of me with such focus before. Makes it easier to see how I might begin to use them more effectively to my advantage.
Thanks for the help.
Take good care…
