How To Discover Your Network Marketing “Easter Eggs”

How would you like to wake-up every single day with more energy than you can handle? And I mean REAL energy…

Sooooo MUCH energy that you feel like a kid hyped-up on sugar and caffeine from eating Easter Eggs…

Now, that would be something? Wouldn’t it?

You see, when I was a kid my parents would hide Easter Eggs everywhere (even outside if it wasn’t raining that weekend). And, the whole weekend would be spent searching for those silly little eggs…

Half the time my father couldn’t remember where he hid them. So it wasn’t unusual to find Easter eggs years later hidden in some weird little nook or cranny.

Gosh, I remember my dog ate one that was covered in foil. That mutt taught me all kinds of things about “digestion” I won’t get into here…

But one time my father hid some of those foil wrapped Easter eggs in the window sill and they melted everywhere. What a mess. Honestly, I must have looked like I was finger painting with… well… you get the picture.

Brown stuff was everywhere…

Because of that “incident” my father (in his infinite wisdom) decided the “Easter Bunny” only delivered chocolate in baskets and only left those baskets in the shade…

But you know…

I’ve always kept that same level of excitement I had when I was a kid discovering Easter eggs for the very first time…

I wake-up every day with that same excitement for marketing that most people reserve for Birthdays, Christmas, and Easter eggs…

And you know, most leaders do the same thing.

They never really “grow up”.

They have fun.

And every day is an adventure.

Here’s wishing you a Happy Easter Monday…

Hey Jason,

So are you still hunting for those Easter egg today? :)

Hope you had a wonderful time yesterday. You are correct about having fun. That is one area I don’t want to outgrow.

When I went Easter egg hunting I use to throw them at my family. Use to get into a lot of trouble.

Chat with you later…

I can picture that…

I wouldn’t want to find any decades old Easter eggs now…

Scary thought.

Hey J

Bottling up the feelings we want to keep and use them at our will its a great way to keep self motivated.

Its true that leaders still have fun. We set challenges for ourselves (similar to egg hunts) and it feels great when we achieve our goals and find little golden nuggets along the way.

Hope you had a great Easter break.

Haha. Yeah, I relaxed with family for a bit… but then
I got bored with Easter… had to get some “work” in. :-)

Good Morning Jason,

Sounds like you still LOVE Easter because of all your happy memories.

I can relate to some of those. One Easter we hid eggs in our home in San Antonio and although our boys searched very hard they couldn’t find all of them. We didn’t even find them when we moved … So maybe the dog found those, haha.

Happy Easter Monday to you!

Jason,

This was an awesome article and it completely describes how I feel today. I don’t mean watching eggs melt in the window sill or watching my cat (I don’t have a dog) eat chocolate eggs. What I do mean is I am excited about my business! I am happy to know good people like you that help others to succeed and grow. This article rocks and so do you!!!

Thank you Melisa,

No hard hitting lesson today… but some simple thoughts…

Hope you’re having and had a Happy Easter. :-)

Great post Jason!

I agree. I am usually so exited that I can’t sleep when I think about this business.

I was up all night last week when I watched the Daegen Smith video on PPC in What’s Working Now.

Take care,

Ken

Honestly, I could NOT believe they were letting people get that video for ten bucks.

I’ve paid way more for way less.

That webinar rocks.

Hi Jason,

Great post. I agree about being excited about your business. I am still excited after 13 years in my business. I sometimes wake up in the night with ideas and can’t get back to sleep. I love this business.

Jason Reply:

I know those nights all too well.

Thankfully, I’ve learned to control my enthusiasm. More energy for the morrow. :-)

This reminds me of a quote by Zig Ziglar (I think) “motivation is just like bathing, it doesn’t last long that’s why we do it daily” I probably got it all wrong but you get the point..

I find it difficult sometimes to stay motivated because it requires so much self discipline… No boss telling you you HAVE to get it done..

But anyway.. Happy Easter.

Talk soon

Hey Hector,

You have it easy then.

I’m constantly pushing myself to work harder than any sane boss would ask.

People are like painted Easter eggs, they are all different colors on the outside, some colors we don’t appreciate and others we prefer, however, they are all made the same inside the shell. Take your “Easter Eggs” in any color they come and you will end up with the same result: something that will make a tasty egg salad that will feed many.

Never forget we celebrate Easter every year so that we will commemorate the reason for the season.

You’re a true philosopher Harold.

I will never be able to eat a poor defenseless egg without think about this now.

Sooooo true, Jason. We are so fortunate to be able to make our living doing something that we are so passionate about… and that we can get excited (and giddy!) about. Woohoo!

I always say,”If it’s not fun, I don’t do it.” :)

Hey J,

Ah, surely knowbody gets sick of Easter eggs! Well, definitely not me!

I just got back from my Easter getaway, and what was the first thing I did?

Hopped on the Mac, updated my blog and back to work. It feels almost “wrong” to get paid for something you really enjoy! :)

Thanks for post and Easter regards.

I wish I had the energy of my son from yesterday. He was bouncing off the walls before the first piece of candy. I don’t bounce off walls anymore, I just make holes in them whenever I run into them. He is always going 90 mph.

I have fun and look forward to everyday and the new challenges and accomplishments waiting.

I heard something similar from Mike Dillard on a Webinar recently. He said life is a game. We need to learn the rules and then figure out what we need to do to win.

I like that analogy, especially for Internet marketing. This isn’t life or death. It is a lot of fun if we look at it that way.

It’s a lot more fun to wake up in the morning and go to work when you have that attitude too.

Great reminder! Let’s get excited about our businesses today and have fun!

Great post Jason, I totally agree you have to be excited about your business for it to be a success, what I normally do I constantly remind myself why I’m building my business online, and thats to have my own financial freedom and thats what keeps me motivated and excited and any magnetic sponsoring or traffic formula 2 video or article keeps me going.

Thanks for the post and Happy Easter!

Hey Shawn,

You know, to this day I still remind myself.

I think it’s a healthy practice to review your goals and dreams every day.

Multiple times a day if possible.

And thank you.

Gee Wiz Beav,

Did they hand carve chocolate bunnies in your day?

Kidding.

I have some repressed memories about finding 6 week old hard boiled eggs in the barn when I was a kid. Of course, the kid has to pick those things up and bust ‘em. Thus the memories.

I think I am like a kid with most things I do. I get excited about a new product launch like it’s Christmas. And a seminar, well, I am in negotiations with my four year old about Disney World interfering with Wealth Masters.

[Reply]

Jason Reply:

No we dipped the real ones in a cauldron of boiling chocolate.

I don’t envy your position. Kids are tough negotiators.

Good luck with that one. ;-)

Morning Jason, your dad, what a great guy putting out the eggs – geez, all weekend, must have been a heaps of them! From memory I think it took the 4 of us about 10mins! no time for melting LOL, it’s a pure gift to do what you love (even with the hiccups) we are very fortunate indeed.

Good one, Jason!! A simple message but yet an effective one.

What’s really amazing is watching the excitement in our kids as they jump around searching for those hidden treasures. It takes you back in time when we were at that age. You can’t help but to be excited with them. So… you’re right… we never really grow up ourselves. If only we can practice at hanging on to those positive impulses on a constant daily basis, we just might see positive rewards in all areas of our lives… such as our business in marketing.

All The Best!

I enjoyed your post Jason. I have participated in some awesome Easter and holiday celebrations and I have been to some awfully drab affairs. I guess any event is just an event but people make them fun or not. So it is that we can make our business fun or not too. Isn’t awesome to know that we have such immense power to determine outcomes? Happy Easter.

Don’t be writing your name on the inside of walls and such.

Hi Jason,

I always had fun dyeing the Easter eggs!

What’s fun for me now is that Internet marketing is like a “treasure map” that needs to be followed to get to the “golden eggs.”

And the cool part is that guys like you and Mike Dillard give guys like me a head start with all the value you’re putting out there.

Thanks and I hope you had a great Easter weekend!

That is right Jason, we better focus always on keeping good attitudes toward our businesses, the energy we spend on trivial things will never help us achieve great things. I mean eastern is good for a while, but back again to your MLM with energy.
Blessings,
