Jason Better’s Quick And Dirty Network Marketing Tips…

Jason Better The "Better networker"At some point in time you’re going to know more than you need to succeed. You’ll have read all the great books and studied all the pros. You’ll have more knowledge locked into your brain than you could possibly use. But you’ll still be sitting right where you are unless you master the art of getting things done… and getting them done fast.

The Daily Grind…

When I wake up, the first thing I do… after I stumble into the kitchen to pour a cup of coffee… is sit down and look at my priority list. I take one, only one task on that list and I work on it until it’s done. If the whole day goes to the dogs then at least I got that much done and I’m a happy camper.

Maybe that’s not much but over time I’ve met hundreds of people who work all day and never get a single thing done at all.

It’s like they’re zombies, mindlessly wandering in search of brains… going nowhere fast.

Maybe you see them when you stop by MacDonalds, Wendy’s, Subway or some other mega franchise run on zombie labor? No shame in those jobs as long as they’re temporary, but geeze… some people make a career of it.

That’s not you.

So today, I thought instead of sharing twenty tips. I’d share four and cut through the clutter. Only four simple tips that will almost certainly set you apart from your peers and make those dreams of financial independence and working from home a secure reality one day at a time.

Of course, like all good advice these tips will be sadly ignored by almost everyone who reads them. It’s a huge shame, but there’s not much I can do about that. Except maybe, let you know that it would be a big mistake to do so.

Now, you probably have these things down pat yourself. So in that case. Kudos, my friend. You’re on your way or already there and we’re kindred souls.

But it wouldn’t hurt to double check right? If you have two minutes then here they are. Obvious and simple.

Four ways to speed up success and produce more every single day…

1. Success is a “set-up”. So set-up your day for success. It doesn’t really matter much when you work every day as long as you do actually work on your business or your dream. But… here’s the kicker. I think you should work at the same time every day. I don’t know why it works, but this just seems to boost my productivity to no end.

And I believe it will do the same for you if you give it a try.

2. The “deadliest” deadline of all. Is not having a deadline at all! I don’t know about you but I really find I get more done with a deadline markered on my calendar.

There’s an old saying that “work expands to fill the time given to it” and I’ve personally been a victim of this problem for years. You can write, or work for days or minutes.

It’s really up to you.

3. Work faster you lazy perfectionist! Perfectionists never get anything done. You only have so many hours in a day. Sometimes, good enough is good enough and you need to move on. If you’re a blogger then this means… write like a mad man and worry about the rest later.

Nothing kills procastination like speed.

4. Gimme a break. There’s something to be said for talking a walk or working up a good sweat from time to time. I can’t even begin to tell you how many breakthroughs I’ve had while walking or just kicking back in a recliner. If all you ever do is work… you’re probably wasting loads of time.

Relaxation is serious business. :-)

Now if you’re thinking “This is so simple it’s dumb” then you’re right.

These tips are simple.

But you already know your greatest breakthroughs in life are not going to be found in “secret” books or magical beans. They’re going to be found right under your nose.

Like these little “gems”
• Work at the same time every day (or night)
• Take more breaks!
• Set deadlines
• Work faster.

Anyway, it always worth taking a good look at the obvious from time to time.

Don’t you think?

Hey Jason, thanks Buddy.

They’re all great tips.

As a framing contractor for the past 25+ years I seem to already have an excellent ‘production system’ in place, however, your 4th point really jumped out at me.

I’ve never really seemed to give myself a break or allow myself to relax. Now that I’m sitting behind this screen all day and not out there swinging a hammer in the wood pile I really need to. I’m already starting to loose my ‘girly firgure’=).

Hey, one more tip I find helpful for real production.

I have an ongoing ‘To Do’ list. It dates back years. I too prioritize my tasks, then cross items off as they are completed. Every night, before bed, so that I ‘dream’ about them, I ad new items for the next day. This list is never complete and yet I am always accomplishing my tasks.

Thanks again. It’s great to have you always watching my back!

Your friend and colleague,

Mitchell Dillman

Hey Mitchell,

I’ve been keeping an eye on your nerve
center.

Really stands out from the crowd and
it’s a stellar example other networkers
should follow.

It rocks.

That was an awesome article. I can’t believe all of the amazing information that I get from here. I liked how Mike Dillard revealed that his secret weapon was ‘ Notepad ‘. That was a big one for me. I was so bad at setting goals and didn’t write them down.

Mitchell Dillman here,

On my way out this morning to participate as an exhibitor in the 2009 Southern Colorado Sustainability Conference and just checked my emails.

You guys are gonna make this old framing carpenter turned on-line entrepreneur go red in the face.;>)

I’m just trying to do my part to bring awareness to the important issues surrounding sustainability and ‘cleaning up our act.’

Thank you both for your kind comments!
Make a great day and you’ll have a great day…

Hi Jason,

How to get an avatar like yours?
It’s great to have one like that:)

Hey Tony,

You can set one up through
http://en.gravatar.com/

There’s other ways to do it too… but that
works. As for the actual picture itself… you
can use your own photo or hire an artist.
There’s loads of caricaturists online. :-)
