Why You Should Quit MLM And Watch Avatar (Again) Instead…
Okay, I’ll confess, I went to see James Cameron’s “Avatar” back when it was still in theaters. (It was all for the sake of this blog and teaching you Multi-Level Marketing skills, I swear.)
Not only that, I even bought a copy of it on Blu-Ray. (For research purposes.) And, it was going to be my dirty little secret. (You know how I’m always telling people to turn off the TV.) But, I think it illustrates my loosely related point today…
That The MLM Home Business Market Is Not Saturated Any More Than Hollywood Is Saturated With Blockbuster Movies
You see, I get sick of hearing excuses… even though I understand them… and one of the biggest excuses is that the “online MLM market is saturated”…
…and it’s impossible to make money online these days.
–”There’s too much competition.”
–”Everybody and their poodle is doing it.”
–”I’m not smart enough to stand out.”
–”I need money to compete with the big boys.”
–”Who would want to listen to little ol’ me?”
–”I have nothing valuable to say”
Well, it’s all a big FAT lie.
And, if you actually believe those lies you might as well QUIT Multi-Level Marketing today and watch Avatar (again) instead…
I mean it, I don’t believe those excuses for one second… not even one microsecond… or a micro-micro-second… or whatever!
I mean, imagine James Cameron sitting there thinking, “Titanic has already been done ten times, why should I even bother? Or, why would anybody watch a movie about twelve foot tall, blue, tree-hugging “smurf cat” people?”
He didn’t sit there making excuses…
He had a vision and he ACTED on it.
It probably went something like this, “I want to make a movie about cats… let’s make them 12-14 feet tall… they live in hammocks hanging from trees… clothes? They don’t need clothes… Why? Because they’re blue.”
So, let’s face the facts, if some guy can go out there and make a movie about giant tree-hugging cat people and make millions upon millions of dollars… you sure as shazzaam can make six-figures working from home.
“But… But… But… (insert excuse here)”
I think James Cameron’s answer would be:
“Stop whining and do something!”
And if this post inspired you to act…
Well then, share it with your friends too.
Thank you,

Hey Jason,
I must tell you that I saw that movie in 3D…Wow!
Now, I got started in this game only 7 months ago. I’ll be one to say, I’m making money. So if it is saturated. Then I must be doing something wrong or I’m just the luckiest guy in Florida. Wait where is my lucky charm?

This was one of the best movies I saw. Amazing graphics and of course great story. And you are right Jason most wannabes network marketers get discouraged when they compare themselves with big boys. First of all the big boys came from the same place and secondly comparisons at any stage are suicidal so the key just compete with yourself instead of the big boys which means two days ago I was here the next month I should be here and the next 3 months I should be here. I work this way and it is working for me. And no point to compare against sprinters when you are just learning to walk .Thanks for the post Jason

On the related note, you are right, it is congested online but there is only competition because there is “demand”.

I love it how you tied in ‘Avatar’ with your post for today. How do you always do that??? By the way, it’s an awesome movie. I watched it in theaters with our youngest and just got it on Blu-Ray too.
The MLM online market is in no way saturated. With thousands of new people coming on the internet every day there’s plenty to go around.

Here’s the truth – there are more people coming online each and every day that want to know how to “make money” from home. Whether they’re looking for a way to supplement their income or to become completely independent, more people are coming each and every day.
And they’re looking for answers. All you have to do is be the one providing them. And so few will ever step out and do it that there we will NEVER reach saturation in this industry.
Just my thoughts…

Jason,
I’m sure it wasn’t “easy” (meaning an instant result with no obstacles to overcome) for James Cameron to make Avatar.
If it was, everybody would be making “Avatars”.
The same is true of MLM. A lot of people outside this industry that I speak to regard it as the ‘overnight, instant millions promise that doesn’t deliver’.
Nice!
Who’s responsible for creating this perception?
The industry lures them in, takes their money and spits them out as perfect little ‘failure agents’.
It seems the once poor reputation this industry had in the offline days has simply been replaced with with a different poor reputation on the Internet.
It will only change when everybody (yeah right…) inside the industry stops telling everybody on the outside that it’s ‘easy’ just so they can see another name on their downline list and a few autoship dollars in their bank account.
I fully understand why there are so many excuses around. People think MLM is easy and it isn’t. Nobody likes to feel like an idiot so they have to find a way to help themselves not feel “bad”. This means legitimizing their own failure by blaming that which in their head is responsible.
How can we expect them to take responsibility for something they never understood in the first place?
Of course it’s possible to be successful in this industry, as it is to be in any other industry. And fortunately it is simple but it’s not ‘easy’.
For one thing it requires people to confront their own self limiting dysfunction for one and if that was easy we’d all be bottling it and selling it. And then it requires hard work for as long as it takes to see the success.
We all have a responsibility to make every person we come into contact with understand this or else we are just part of the problem.
Excuse the rant. I’m sure this is a case of the “pope preaching to the cardinals however it’s one of my top “soap box” topics!
Cheers

Well Shiver-me-timbers Jason,
NO NO NO…Not more excuses, Please…
You, of all people, know as well as I do, when it’s time to hear some creative reasons folks can’t do something just start talking MLM…
People will invent so many excuses so fast you could only wish to be a 14 ft. tall, Blue Cat person, flying around the jungle on a futuristic magic carpet, coughing up 20 pound fur balls…
And did I mention I haven’t seen a movie since 1978. I think it was Jaws…
How’s a guy supposed to take ACTION sitting in a dimly lit room full of movie goers all seeking some kind of life affirming entertainment from an overpriced large screen and surround sound system?
Indeed not…The only way to make things happen is to Make Things Happen!
Get up off your “Whoa is me” back side, formulate a plan and put it into Action! And by the way, NOW would be better than Later…
Yea, you said it Jason, just do something…You know me, I’d rather jump in head first without even checking for submerged stumps or boulders.

Seems that stay away from his Video Game was too much.
People prefer succeed like the hero of the movie or video game, for 15 minutes and feel that they win too, video games and movies and things like that are like “Success in a can” when a person get too much of them.
And don’t get me wrong i enjoy a lot going to the movies on weekends with friends.

We want to be looking for people who have leadership potential and strong personal motivation.
The people who make excuses are not the ones we want to try to attract into our business. They have made it easy for us… they have disqualified themselves right up front and we need not spend any more time with them.
We can still be polite and wish them well, but then move on to others who are more positive and teachable.

Nice Post Jason!
I liked how you tied this in with Avatar
I really liked how you said “He had a vision and he ACTED on it”. I think what distinguishes people who act from those who whine is Focus. People choose to focus on their problems instead of focusing on solutions.
Just being positive is not enough. You have to find a way to make things work. You have to be a solution finder. There really are no excuses for doing nothing. If you do not know something, then learn it. Anything anybody ever wanted to learn can be found by reading a book.
As far as “not standing out”, people automatically stand out by being themselves. We are all unique. You have to be yourself and show “You” to the world if you want to win. No one ever got anywhere by trying to be someone else. Sure we have mentors but that does not mean that there is nothing that separates us from them.
No excuses!
Okay sorry I went on a rant about that one LOL.
Have a blessed day!

I haven’t seen Avatar either but I think your post makes an awesome point.
The only thing saturated about mlm or network marketing is the people that don’t want to make a committment to see it through and make it work.
We all have multiple reasons to quit on a daily basis (at least I know I do), but my daily motto no matter what is thrown my way is “I’m not gonna quit regardless!!!”
I just try to keep in mind stories like Walt Disney and then I tell myself, it’s not so bad. He had way fewer resources to succeed than we have now.
So my house is a no excuse house. I whine from time to time, but I do it behind my closed doors.
Oh no, here comes that deep gut feeling of a new article being created again. LOL
Have a great day,
Rhonda

Haven’t seen Avatar?
Gosh, it’s like the movie of the century!
No worries, you were working those hours away, right?

That’s right. Traveling to the theatre, watching a movie, and traveling home takes away from my quality producing time. (Just don’t tell anyone about the mention of my short fishing excursion yesterday)
Plus, I have excessively limited my time with the Electronic Income Reducer:)

“Avatar” what a great inspiration tool Jason those are the main reasons that people everyday use to quit doing things that made many others successful because they are afraid of competition, the truth is if there is competition then there is money to be made so many don’t understand I’m glad The Ultimate Networker and Jason Better does.
Great Post!!!!!!!!
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

I love how the movers and shakers of the network marketing profession focus on personal growth, hard work and responsibility. It easily identifies those that have character and are actually trying to help people as opposed to hacks that will eventually be weeded out.

Love Avatar…I think people need to balance how they market their business. Sometimes folks go over-board trying to sell things to people that do not join their business.
Its ok to share what you use…but this is not a selling business!

Hi Jason,
With thousands of new people coming on-line every day looking for something more I don’t think MLM will be saturated for a very long time.
Haven’t seen Avatar yet, maybe this weekend.

100% with you on that Mike.
And there will always be room for exceptional people in business.
No matter how “saturated” the market gets.
