Playing The Odds — Why Marketing Is About Numbers Not Secrets

Network Marketing NumbersAre you sick of secrets? I know I am. Because it seems like everyone has one… and it’s mostly a buncha baloney. This might upset a few people but I think it had to be said.

Now, I’m not saying secrets don’t exist. They most certainly do. But the fact is, a lot of so-called secrets are hyper-inflated fluff. And while I hope to share my “secrets” with you in the months ahead I hope you’ll remember that it’s the basics… the ABCs of marketing that will guide you to the cash.

As you probably know, the sneaky old secrets, the “magic pills” and the latest marketing tricks won’t do you any good unless you apply them. So today I’d like to show you how to do just that. With a tip you can use right away.

The not-so-secret power of numbers…

A big claim: There’s NO WAY you’ll ever be a top-gun in your biz-op unless you harness the power of numbers. Yep, that’s a huge claim. But this fact is so ‘BRAIN DEAD’ simple it’s overlooked by almost everyone.

Frankly, it’s not the easiest way to build your downline, get more distributors, or sales. It means you’ll have to get used to living outside your comfort zone and make mistakes every single day. It might even be embarrassing but you’ll want to use it anyway…

Because it makes sense and IT WORKS.

Because Network Marketing Is A Numbers Game…

It’s a NUMBERS game. Network Marketing, the old MLM game is as basic as arithmetic. All things being equal the more calls you make, the more ads you run, the more people you meet, and the more “MISTAKES” you make… the MORE SUCCESSFUL YOU WILL BE.

You can learn every sneaky secret… buy every book under the sun… spend all your money on leads, but there’s no fact that I can think of right now that will change your life faster than this.

Play it by numbers!

Make more calls, meet more people, run more ads and above all… MEASURE YOUR RESULTS. This is the only real way to duplicate your success and accelerate it.

At this point, failure is not an “option” failure is what you want. You know, I wish I could remember his name but a wise man once said…

“You want to fail fast and fail forward.”

So get moving, and measure the results. At first, your success will be measured by notches on a piece of paper. Notches that might be failures. But over time you’ll start to hit on a system that works for you.

A system you built by trial and error. A system you can teach to your downline fast. And there’s nothing to say you can’t take bits and pieces from the experts.

Buy all the books you can. Learn every secret you can. But above all get moving. Play it by numbers. Measure the results.

And when it works — DO IT AGAIN!

Yes, you’ll face rejection. But how you react to it is a choice. Every “no” brings you closer to “YES!”

Once again Jason, great thoughts!

I just posted a Twit this morning concerning this very topic. Follow me, mldillman on Twitter.

I truly believe one of the biggest keys to success is to just Take Action. We must constantly look past the trivial things we do that don’t produce income. We must get past the fear of wondering what others will think of us or our delivery.

There will always be folks out there who will pass judgment and “score” our efforts, who cares. Just put your head down and drive forward, never allowing those people to slow you down. “Some will, some won’t, someone’s waiting.”

I heard a quote yesterday morning on my morning conference call that went a little like this:”Progress inch by inch is a cinch, yard by yard, it can be hard”.

I can relate to this because sometimes don’t feel that I am progressing fast enough, so I must remember to simply focus on the outcome and move forward.

Thanks again for your leadership, I am always open and listening for any new (or forgotten) “nugget”.

Sincerely.
Mitchell Dillman

Hey Mitchell. I’m excited to see you
back. Love that quote!

“Progress inch by inch is a cinch,
yard by yard, it can be hard.”

Sometimes it does feel like it’s all
backwards. I have those days or even
weeks too. But they always seem to pass.

And thanks for the feedback. Much
appreciated Mitchell. :-)
