The Lazy Selling Secret Of A Reclusive Internet Marketing Expert…
It was a few years back and I was chatting with an old friend about marketing. He had no website, no blog, no advertising of any kind and yet he was flooded with clients.
I wanted to know his secret but he wouldn’t tell me. So I watched him like a hawk and studied his every move till I got the big picture.
You see, the reason he never had to “sell” (at least in the normal sense of the word) was that people saw he was an expert. Everybody knew this guy was a pro. His business was referral only and he could pick and choose his clients. It was almost annoying because this guy never seemed to sell anything at all.
The only time I ever saw him sell a thing was in the subtle little tag at the bottom of his e-mails where he gave a free report you could download if you wanted to.
And you know, it really got me thinking. What if I could do the same thing for myself? What if I could build myself into an expert and get the same results? Well, I had this idea for a bit and didn’t really think about it much till I came across Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring book — that’s when it clicked into place.
Now, if you’re in network marketing like I am then you’re probably wondering how you can apply this technique yourself.
Like most things in marketing, it’s really pretty simple, but it does take a bit of work.
The first step, is to back-up from your business and look at it like other people do. You have to step into their shoes and get the whole picture. And while you do this you should keep one question in the front of your brain:
“Is this something a credible expert would do?”
If the answer is no then you have to change it a.s.a.p. because your prospects can smell weakness a mile away and they want to do business with a real professional not some “huckster” off the street.
So if you’d like to get more leads, and more sales then this is probably the easiest advice I have to give. Before you make a move in marketing, or advertising, or even open your mouth — ask yourself:
“Is this something a credible expert would do?”
Is this too easy?
Yep, but most people won’t even bother to take 5-minutes to do this and they’ll lose out on the big money because of it.

Although I may be somewhat new to network marketing this is a proven and sound concept. I know with my construction company I have become a leader (an expert) over time and as this naturally occurs with experience it does enable me to land more contracts. When others see your experience and knowledge of a particular field or topic they are much more open to listen to you and follow your lead. Good stuff!
